AFIA Film Festival 2009 cancelled / AFIA Filmfestival 2009 aflyses

Due to a lack of funding, it will unfortunately be impossible to hold the film festival as planned in March 2009. The staff worked intensively to the very end but has now exhausted all funding possibilities.

We regret having to disappoint our collaborators as well as local and international filmmakers who have helped us and have sent in their inspiring productions. Thank you for your support and cooperation.

All those who have sent films to the festival will at the start of the New Year receive an email with further information, and until then, we count on your patience.

Since its inception in 2006, the AFIA Film Festival has brought many innovative and challenging films as well as exciting international film personalities to the Aarhus community. This has enriched the local film milieu and for that reason, we will work toward re-establishing the festival in 2010.
